Army Language School - 1962 Co C. Marsptbn , 1963-1964 TAD to Det A 1stradbn 09/1963-01/1964 at PhuBai, RVN TAD with Navy Unit, flying crew (with Al Harvick)on Connie for part of June, 1964 out of Bangkok,Thailand. Co D. Marsptbn Aug,1964- Jan/feb,1966 Co A. Marsptbn 1966 Feb - Oct 1966 (was going to take discharge and get out - hated stateside duty. But a friend intervened and got me transfered out of there. This really ticked Hqs M.C. Assignment clerks off. They got even later. Co L. Marsptbn Nov 1966 - Dec, 1967 1st Radbn, Kanehoe, HI Jan 1968 - July(?) 1968 TAD to Co C. at San Miquel for 3 or 4 months but don't remember which ones - think returned to Kanehoe in Sept or Oct. Waived overseas control date hoping for Co D,or Co C, E, etc. Stead got shipped back to Nam (Those headquarters clerks) . III MAF, Da Nang, RVN 1968- 1970 1st Radbn, Kanehoe, HI 1970 (Assignment clerks again). Gave up. Was there a few months- took discharge in September.
