Tho and I take pictures of each other at the monument marking the 17th parallel, or DMZ-center.

Vinh Moc Tunnels. North of the DMZ along the coast are a set of tunnels up to 35-40 meters below ground where this village of people sustained life during the war. One time a drill bomb did strike them but did not explode. The people made it an air vent. We walked through three levels of tunnel with other tourists complaining there was not enough light. They never would have made it as Vinh Moc villagers. 17 children were born in the tunnels. A flag in the small museum is inscribed with the phrase, "Our units always win - 1975." I can only assume this was sewn in sometime after 1975.
