Rose was born on December 16, 1948 in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan to James Surface of the United States Air Force and Judy Surface (n‚e Sachiko Koga), who both preceded her in death. Rose and her parents travelled extensively around the world as her father's orders required. The family eventually settled in the Sacramento area near McClellan Air Force Base. Rose graduated from Highlands High School in 1967 and made the Sacramento area her home for the rest of her life. Rose is survived by her daughters Alicia George of Sacramento, Teresa Petersen Dunham (Kory) of Antelope, granddaughter Madeline Belongi‚ of Antelope and longtime companion William Daniels of Sacramento. | | |
