Tim was born July 15, 1958 in Sacramento to Solomon (S. A.) and Helen Chandler. He passed away suddenly on June 5, 2012 in Coos Bay, Oregon of a heart attack. Tim attended schools in North Highlands, California and graduated from Highlands High in 1976. He attended American River College until he joined the U. S. Coast Guard in 1978. Tim married the love of his life Terrie Garner on June 22, 1981. They were blessed with two children, Beth Ann Chandler Cambell (Dustin) and Troy A. Chandler. He is also survived by his parents, S. A. and Helen Chandler, his sister and brother in-law Carolyn and Pat McGuire, and their children Stephanie, Cindi & Matt; his brother and sister in-law Steve and Nancy Chandler, and their children Scott, Ken and Rachel; his sister Maryanne Stein, and her daughter Becca Stein-Banford as well as cousin Margo Garcia. Tim was preceded in death by his niece Courtney Stein and brother in-law Jimmy Stein. Tim began working for the Oregon Department of Corrections in 1990. He was a correctional Sergeant at Shutter Creek Facility in Coos Bay Oregon. A memorial service was held in Coos Bay on June 10, 2012. Military honors were provided by the Department of Corrections Honor Guard from Salem Oregon.
