Cotonou, Benin

Our first breakdown occurs while still in Cotonou. It will take a couple of hours to replace a fan belt. On the street, our driver, Ciprien, easily finds people to help, including a resourceful kid who lugs a car battery over to start the car- for 500CFAs (75 cents US).
