It is with great sadness that the family of David E. Gray announces his passing on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Born to Oliver and Blanche Gray December 21, 1953 in Marysville, CA. Survived by his two sons, Oliver and Jesse Gray and his two grandsons, Hagan and Easton Gray. Although David had only two sons, he also took into his home his nephew, Robert Hogan and two nieces, Rachell and Tabitha Hogan.
David was a self-taught mechanic who went through cars like he changed his underwear. David’s favorite hobby was building engines and repairing cars. He was a walking mechanical instruction manual. He worked for Lucky’s Distribution warehouse in Vacaville, CA for 30 years. Although very stubborn at times David was very sentimental, he held on to years of photos, home videos, classwork and even toys from his children, family, & friends and of course his many cars. He loved his kids more than anything else in this world and would do anything for them. David was notorious for his un-announced visits to your home (especially around dinnertime) and would say he was “just in the neighborhood”, He would call you and talk with you till the phones dies. He loved texting you in the middle of the night to tell you his random thoughts to let you know there was recall on items that might affect his grandkids.
A memorial service for David was held Friday October 5, 2018 at 4pm in the afternoon at the American Legion Post 521, 6700 8th Street Rio Linda CA 95673. | | |
