Paul and I went to Scotland in April and have lots of photos of Scotland and photos of The Clan Estate that Paul's mother hails from.
We had a fabulous visit with a geneologist at the Inverness Library who told us the entire history of Clan MacGillavry from inception through 1965.
What a diamond of a find and in the library.
Being an academic sort of person and having left the map to Dunlicity at home, I told Paul we are not going to a travel agent, we're going to the library. When we were greated and without an appointment granted entrance for an hour and a half with an expert at no charge, I was close to cloud 9.
I would love to share all of our stories with all of you, but I am short on time and my keyboard skills are slow.
So it will take a while to get all the info to the rest of you Scots, unless of course someone wants to volunteer to assist us with the photos and the stories.
Maybe we could have a series of short stories in the newsletter, who knows?
